This practical piece of furniture was manufactured sometime in the 1940s. Made of quartersawn white oak, it features faceted glass knobs and brass hardware, as well as black spandrel glass (this is a replacement for the original marble inset), beveled mirror backsplash, and textured glass panels in the upper cabinets.

It is done in the practical, simple lines seen in a lot of functional Post War furniture. The upper cabinets were designed to hold perishable medicines and have been double insulated.

The glass has been replaced, probably sometime in the 1970s, and is not original to the piece. The work space below the top cabinets is now covered in an black spandrel glass top, replacing the marble inset, and features a lovely beveled mirror backsplash.

Below this are the fourteen small instrument drawers, each designed with cubbies, boxes, slats, and more to help store, maintain, and make tools and other items more accessible while working. On the bottom third of the cabinet are five drawers and a single large cabinet. The top two drawers are of similar size with the remain three stacked drawers graduating from smallest to largest, at the base. This piece has been updated over time and looks to be have been on consistent use from its manufacturing up until the present day. Overall, it measures 62 1/2" high, 30" wide, and 16 deep.

The top cabinets measure 8 1/2 deep. It weighs approximately 100-125 lbs.

It is very good condition but does show the typical signs of wear seen in items of this age and constant use. Please consult images and message with any questions. Please message with your zip code.
