This American made antique library or office furniture dates about 1910. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak, with much flecking. The sides and bottom of the drawers are made of another less expensive wood, as with many cabinets.This'lawyer' design cabinet is made up of 4 stacking pieces. The top piece is a 2 section flip-up/push-in glass cabinet with nice original wavy glass, the next two cabinets consist of 4 decorative file drawers each, the bottom has 2 standard long drawers. All Hardware is solid BRASS.
Note: the bottom right drawer has an age appropriete replacement handle. The restored light finish is in excellent condition. THE DRAWER INSIDE DIMENSIONS ARE 10" WIDE X 12" DEEP AND HAVE FULL LENGTH SLOTS GOING VERTICALLY Down both sides of the DRAWERS. It must have held vertical files instead of horizontal.Size is: 62" Tall, 53" Wide, 12 3/4 Deep. PICK-UP is in Rochester Hills, just NORTH OF DETROIT, MICHIGAN, I-75 and M59.
