This is an antique 14 drawer quarter-sawn tiger-oak Library Card Catalog / office filing cabinet made by LIBRARY BUREAU SOLE MAKERS in the early 20th century. This spectacular, beautifully proportioned four piece stack-able cabinet has been restored to its former glory - the beautiful, richly figured oak gleams with a hand-rubbed oil finish. When we found this amazing piece it needed some TLC so we carefully disassembled and cleaned it, repaired its broken parts, and gave it a deep durable surface.
It measures 33" wide by 18" deep, by about 43 tall and has a great configuration. A slim top section with graceful moldings featuring the maker's tag crowns the cabinet.
The other three parts can sit in any order - two sections of three standard 3" x 5" drawers flanked by two 8 1/2" x 11" drawers, and a wonderful section of four flat file drawers. The drawer joints are dove-tailed and all drawers open and close and sport beautiful brass pulls and tag holders. All in all, a superb, unusual Oak Cabinet that is useful and a great addition to your decor. The unit weighs approximately 75 lbs.
