Ok, so this is one of two near identical card catalog cabinets that we have. This came from an old school that recently closed. Going by the style of the pulls, and the materials used, this is a "newer" cabinet, though I imagine it's still fairly old.
33'' wide x 17'' tall. If you were to completely remove the base, the cabinet would be 13'' tall. The drawers are all in excellent shape.
The outsides are obviously wood, The insides are made up of an old plastic of some kind, with a metal back plate. The plates can be adjusted in order to accommodate the amount of cards in each drawer(or whatever else they would contain). The pulls are in good shape, with some being slightly bent/dented. If I were to complete this project, I would invest in some nice replacement pulls. Personally, i'd probably choose the replicas, since they seem to be of fine quality, and are usually cheaper than the real thing. The cabinet's base is a little rough. The sides were completely removed and had multiple screws sticking outward when I first picked it up. I removed the screws and mounted a new piece of wood on each side temporarily, as I intended to replace the entire base. This one, along with the other cabinets were going to be a project that I never got around to completing. For anyone interested, we have another cabinet that is the exact same as this one, aside from the fact that it is without a base. This second cabinet would be placed atop the first.
