Antique English Pair of Art Deco Figured Mahogany Bedside Cupboards / Cabinets / Nightstands (Circa 1930). Here is a good quality pair of antique Art Deco figured mahogany bedside chests, circa 1930, in excellent condition. The bedsides are constructed of mirror matched figured mahogany veneers on a solid frame. The bedsides feature lovely simple veneer tops with curved corners to the front. Below is a cupboard door, which is shaped to continue the curved front corner design, and retains its original wooden handle. The cupboard door opens to reveal 2 mahogany lined removable drawers. The drawers boast dovetail joints and quarter beading (a sign of quality). The bedsides stand on the original recessed plinths. These bedsides boast classic Art Deco styling throughout; this is visible in the curved corners, stepped design and clean lines. These bedsides boast a mellow brown colour. They have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

These bedsides would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the bedroom. They would certainly grace any home, in either a traditional or contemporary setting; they are a great investment as they are extremely functional. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The bedsides boast lovely figured walnut veneers, with a warm mellow colour, on a solid frame.

The bedsides also boast the original wooden handles. The doors are not warped and the frames retain the original door closure mechanisms.
