Kahn & Cie was one of the finest furniture makers of the late 19th century and had showrooms in both Paris and London. They were one of the finest ebenistes of the time equivalent to other more famous French furniture makers such as Francois Linke, Paul Sormani and other Famous French Ebenistes.
Francois Linke had even allowed the Grand Bureau his most important creation for which he had won a gold medal in the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle to be illustrated in E. Kahn & Cie's Catalog. This cabinet is in excellent condition for its age and the inlay and bronze work is some of the finest I have ever seen!
