Antique c. 1800s Tall Primitive Step-Back Cupboard Early Bucks County, Pa Cabinet

  

Presenting a beautiful authentic Early Bucks County, Pa. In very good vintage condition, it was stored for many years in a dry barn in Upper Bucks County, Pa. Circa mid 1800s, this was originally built-in to the kitchen pantry of a 300 year old stone farmhouse, carefully removed during alterations & a new back panel was added.

(originally the back was the wall of the old house).. Made from old-growth hard / pumpkin pine from trees cut in the 1800s- trees that grew in one of Americas original native virgin Primeval forests.

The pine trees back then lived to 200-300 & even 400+ years old in some cases & grew very slowly- as such, the wood on this is more of a semi-hardwood & features beautiful grain character throughout. Wide planks are clear with no knots. Notice the raised panel-in-frame doors that were all hand planed; hand beaded edge details; ball-tip barrel hinges; antique turnbuckle latch handles & cast iron drawer pulls were added to replace originals that went missing (guaranteed old & authentic). Open counter space area is 16 1/2 high & has beaded wainscot back detail, painted an antique green enamel. Plenty of aged patina throughout. Wear & distressing on the finish & surfaces as shown. You can see marks were it was attached between surface walls & top right corner was shaped for existing house ceiling molding. Drawers are 5 inches deep x 16.5 in. Wide inside- they open & close smoothly. Space under base shelf is 13 1/2 inches.

Spacing between upper cabinet shelves are about 11 inches. 48 inches wide x 18 1/4 inches deep at base 13 In. Deep at top x 103 inches high.

The base section floor to counter-top is 35 inches. Top cabinet section is 68 1/2 (Cabinet is all one piece) (if you like, I can custom modify & reduce center open space & overall height, creating upper & lower cabinets- let me know).
