Art Deco 1920s Walnut Drinks Cabinet and Cocktail Bar

  

This beautiful 1920s Art Deco bureau has been transformed into a cocktail cabinet that brings the roaring twenties to any living. The original walnut has been fully restored. It has then been painted in a mix of midnight blue and leaf green. The glass display shelves are backed in hand layered gold leaf. The cabriole feet and front paneling have been painted gold.

The upper fold down section contains a small lined draw, shelves and a fixed mirror to prepare drinks on. In the lower section of the cabinet there are 3 large draws which have been painted and lined with gold glittered paper, they also have the original knobs, now gold.

The whole cabinet has then been varnished twice with clear varnish to make it more hard wearing. The keys for the cabinet now have handmade gold and turquoise tassels hanging from them. This cabinet is antique and so may show some signs of wear and tear but we feel this only adds to the character. More photos and other redecorated drinks cabinets on Etsy.
