Unusual Arts and Crafts Oak Work Vice Cabinet (Stickley era) MUSEUM DEACCESSION    Unusual Arts and Crafts Oak Work Vice Cabinet (Stickley era) MUSEUM DEACCESSION
American or English, early 20th century. An Arts and Crafts work cabinet. I can't tell if the oak is American or English and don't know the maker but possibly Limbert, Lakeside Craft Shop, or Liberty. Has MUSEUM DEACCESSION number 6490.87.1.

In oak, having a rectangular surface with rounded side edge, above a single hinged door with central floral relief carving, above two fitted drawers with mushroom pulls, rising on carved and very interestingly shaped legs; ht. This A&C cabinet has a lot of quirky personality, something often missing in Arts and Crafts items. Just look as those whimsical feet!

The very grained oak can be difficult to photograph. Think of the uses for this very functional piece with your other A&C items: Storage, bar, display item on top, many uses!
