From a well known artist in an old time estate in Central Pennsylvania. In the same house since 1953 until today. She used this for displaying artistic creations. The heirs told me this cabinet was made in the early 1900s as a pie safe for a commercial bakery display showcase.

The base is separate and has four large and original in good condition wooden Oak wheels that work very well, in case you need to move it around. The plinth / lid also comes off. The panels appear to have been constructed to come apart as there are a series of screws strategically located at the corners. It has added brackets on the inside corners that are newer. Maybe this cabinet came across the ocean from England?

Either way this piece has great color, it is very sturdy and stable and all the double handled Oak glass doors slide back and forth gracefully.
