Antique French Jam Cabinet Cupboard Heirloom Cabinet Bar Oak Confiture Key

  

This wonderfully carved jam cabinet features 1 drawer and 2 movable shelves. It is deeply carved with whimsical lions heads, botanical designs and a beautiful animal face in the center of the drawer. Shelves inside measure 12.5 inches deep.

Many years ago, I had the privilege to meet an amazing lady who was born and raised in the champagne region of Troyes France. When she was in her late teens, she and a sister moved to America in NYC and worked in the garment district as seamstresses back in the 1940s.

To say she was a fascinating and talented person is an understatement. I have listed the carved oak furniture heirlooms that she inherited from her grandmother's estate in Troyes. However, the exceptional quality of these pieces is stunning. They evoke a feeling in the room of historical significance and a magical quality.

Their condition is very good to excellent with the exception of the dining room table base and the marble top of the sideboard. A puppy had gotten to the ears of the dragons on the table base at some point and chewed each of them.
