Here is an antique step back cupboard. My wife and I bought a another antique cupboard to replace this one so it has to go quick. No reasonable offer turned down. Last two pictures show how nice the cupboard displays our collections in our 1800's log home.
Please note contents are not included. I believe this cupboard is from the late 1800's possibly early 1900's. It is painted brown although could be a dark stain.
As far as I can tell this is the original finish but I'm not an expert. I think the cupboard is pine but not sure. The cupboard does have a few repairs. There is one on the bottom of the glass doors. Where someone decided to put metal around the bottom of the doors(look at pictures). I don't know why someone wrapped metal around the doors and have never taken it off. You don't notice it unless you are close it does blend in nicely. There are also two spots where looks like a newer piece of wood. One between the drawers and one by the latch on glass doors(look at pictures). All of these repairs were down long time ago nothing recent. The drawers are dovetailed and chamfered on the bottom. The bottom doors do have raised panels and there are wood pins in the bottom doors. The cupboard has 3 shelves up top. The bottom has 1 shelf.
This cupboard is one piece it is 85 1/2 inches tall, 49 inches wide, the bottom is 17 inches deep, the top is 11 inches deep, and the bottom part is 31 3/4 inches high. The cupboard displays collections nicely and has a lot of storage space. This is a very heavy and solid piece of furniture. They don't make new ones like this. My apologies for my reflection and the light glare in the glass couldn't find away around it.
Cupboard does look better in person than the pictures show. Please note to get the cupboard out of my house the molding at the top has to come off, which I have done many times. Please bring help to load it took 3-4 guys to move it in my house. I will help but it will require more than 2 people. It might be possible to make arrangements to see the cupboard.
