Here is a beautiful stackable vintage quarter-sawn oak 30 drawer card catalog cabinet with brass hardware. It probably dates from the 1930's or 40s. We found it in Fort Henry, New York. It was in need of some TLC so we brought it home to Vermont and healed its hurts, applied a rich stain and finished it with several coats of hand-rubbed oil. The makers tag shows that it was produced by the GAYLORD BROTHERS Co.
The cabinet is structurally sound and in excellent overall condition. It is made in five pieces - two drawer sections, two sliding shelf units, and a top piece. They fit snugly and sturdily together. The elegant curved brass drawer pulls look great against the oak. All the drawers and shelves slide easily. The cabinet stands approximately 31" high x 32" wide x 16 deep and weighs approximately 125 lbs. These wonderful cabinets are getting hard to find. They make a statement in any room and are excellent for storage of collections, sewing items, tools, etc. The item "Vintage 1/4-sawn oak LIBRARY 30 Dr. Card catalog Cabinet, brass pulls, beautiful" is in sale since Saturday, October 19, 2019.This item is in the category "Antiques\Furniture\Cabinets & Cupboards\1900-1950".
