Vintage 60 Drawer Card Catalog File/Cabinet Library, Oak, Brass Pulls
Here is a beautiful vintage oak 60 drawer card catalog cabinet. It probably dates from the 1960 or 70s. It came out of Williams College in Williamstown, MA. It doesn't have a maker's tag but the hardware is of the style used by the GAYLORD Co. The cabinet is structurally sound and in excellent overall condition. The nice curved brass drawer pulls look great against the oak. All the drawers slide easily. All but 4 of the drawers are fitted with dividers that apparently were set up to hold photographic slides.
Those dividers lift out easily. The cabinet also has 3 pullout work surfaces which operate smoothly. The cabinet stands 59 3/4" high x 40 1/2" wide x 18 deep and weighs approximately 200 lbs. These wonderful cabinets are getting hard to find. They make a statement in any room and are excellent for storage of collections, sewing items, tools, etc.
