The building it comes from was built circa 1930 and it has been some variation of bar/tavern from its inception. It became a pub in the 1950s and was in continual operation until 2004.

At that point the bar closed and the building underwent a 10-year renovation (not kidding) before becoming an old-fashioned general store, now defunct. The bar was semi-restored the front/side was painted a deep brown and the gouges filled in (the other side attaches to a wall).

The top was lightly refurbished to keep its character (and its beautiful wood patina). We also added a brass foot rail and shelves on the inner side. This piece is as solid as a boulder and is a beautiful piece of Americana.
