Gorgeous Antique American crotch mahogany 5 drawer dresser chest, circa 1850's

  

1850's Empire Gentleman's Dresser in crotched mahogany. Scroll work, round columns and beautifully hand carved articulated lion's paws in front. Original brass pulls and escutcheons.

Dresser was thoughtfully restored by fine furniture shop in Savannah, GA. Some veneer repairs made and other veneer left as is. Dresser top is solid and not cracked as most dressers of this age experience. Dresser has normal wear for a 175 year old piece of furniture. Aquired from New York and believed to be made in that area.
