Vintage OAK LIBRARY CARD CATALOG Custom 1940s HUNTINGTON LIBRARY Cabinet Table
One-of-a-kind handmade in the 1940s oak library card catalog; specially made for The Huntington Library in San Marino, California. The Huntington Library, Gardens and Museum is still going strong today (see huntington. The cabinet was decommissioned in the late 1990s from the library. It still has some of the original label cards. Each of the 11 drawers has its drawer number engraved in Roman numerals, designed to fit in its respective slot. It's a perfect height to use as a side table. The cabinet stands 26 1/2" high, 23" wide, 19 deep (front to back). The piece was masterfully made. The grain and finish are very attractive and there are only minor signs of use or age, remarkable for being almost 80 years old. The glass top is included. The nine smaller drawers are 5 3/8" wide, 15 1/4" long, 3 1/2 high.
