Antique Victorian Large Ornate Cherry Wood Wall 4 Tier Display Shelf, 1880s. This fabulous large antique Victorian wall shelf is made of cherry and was found in Maine. The overall dimensions are 31 1/8" tall and 26 1/4" wide at the outer edges.

Each side is 7/16 thick and has a wonderful, very attractive, ornate piercing or carving. The four display shelves are 25" wide; the top display shelf and subsequent two shelves are approximately 1/2" thick. The bottom display shelf is 5/8 thick. This shelving unit may be wall mounted using the four brass attachments (two on the top shelf and two on the bottom shelf). An alternative would be to thread a thin cord through the hole found at the top of each side, tie each cord to form a loop, and use the loops to hang the shelf. This shelf may also be used as a freestanding unit. Shelf depth and distance between shelves and top and bottom of unit follows.

Shelf 1, Top Shelf: 6 deep. 4 1/2 from top of sides. Shelf 2: 6 3/4 deep. 7 from bottom of shelf 1. Shelf 3: 7 1/2 deep.

8 3/8 from bottom of shelf 2. Shelf 4, Bottom Shelf: 8 deep. 8 3/8 from bottom of shelf 3. 1 1/2 from bottom of shelf 4 to bottom of sides. This gorgeous cherry wall shelf is a lovely reddish-brown color and has wonderful patina.
