Gorgeous Highly Ornate Pair of Tall French Louis Style Monumental Pedestal Marble Top Tables, Inlaid, Figural Ormolu's. X 20" Length X 20" Length. These are heavy, solid two toned, inlaid, pedestals with numerous ormolu mountings. These pedestals were placed in the palaces and large estates, one on each side of the salon (Drawing Room or Reception Room), or entrance to the salon (Drawing Room or Reception Room), with Clocks, Candelabras, Bronze or Porcelain Jardiniere (Ornate Flower Containers) , other ornate decorative pieces, or just alone.

These highly decorative pieces certainly add a majestic view to a room. The set has been maintained very well by the estate and in accordance to them, the items were stored for many years.

This is an older set with veneer finish. In effect it has very small area with veneer missing, painted over, or slight swellings of veneer. The Marble Tops have a few scratches that needs polishing.
