A Louis XV Rococo Style Marble Top Inlaid Walnut Commode Chest, Egypt, c. This Commode Chest would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. This Commode is crafted of solid walnut, and is finished in an exotic wood veneer. You'll enjoy drastic burl inlays along each drawer front. Each drawer shows a heavily detailed traditional motif, which is accompanied by solid brass pulls. Each drawer opens and closes as it should. The green marble top shows a beveled edge, it adds perfect contrast.

Throughout, you'll find many different brass ormolu mounts and trims, the most notable brass mounts are the figural pair along the side corners - They're certainty the nicest of its kind and drastic. The backside is marked Egypt. Condition: This Commode is in overall good condition.

The marble top does not show any cracks or chips, although an area of lightness is shown along the left corner. Small areas of veneer damage and stress marks are shown from age. We've circled any notable damage in our photo gallery to reference.
