1920s QUARTER SAWN GOLDEN OAK CUPBOARD/CABINET BELGIUM ART NOUVEAU

  
This is an antique, quarter sawn, golden oak hutch/cabinet/cupboard. It is from 1920s Belgium and is a perfect example of the Art Nouveau style with lovely botanical carving.

This cupboard is great for a dining room, living room or large bedroom. This piece has three shelves behind the top two mirrored doors which lock with a key. There are two drawers above each of the two lower doors.

The corners of the drawers are dovetail construction. Behind the two lower wood doors which lock with a key are two shelves. All the mirrors are beveled edge.

This is a very beautiful piece with brass hardware. It is definitely a conversation starter. I would like to find a good home for this item. This piece would be great in a dining room as a hutch or as a living room/bedroom entertainment center for stereo equipment and possibly a small TV.

I have enjoyed this gorgeous hutch for many years. I have received so many compliments on this piece from friends and visitors. This item looks even more beautiful in person.

It has been in a non-smoking home. It is in excellent condition for its age with very few age-appropriate scratches/markings.

There are a few tiny spots of darkened silver behind some of the mirrors which is common with older mirrors. The closure hardware for the bottom doors was changed at some point probably due to a broken lock. I did have a carpenter install small, magnetic latch behind the bottom of the top doors to help keep the doors closed more securely. This item has been well taken care of. Due to my ceiling not being high enough, the lovely top piece is not on the top of the hutch in the pictures.

Top section is: 51" W x 11 3/4" D. Bottom Section is: 55" W x 23" D. Total Height as seen in pictures w/o top piece is: 93. Total Height at Center including Top Piece is: 100 1/2. The carved top piece has two, small dowels that fit into two, small holes at the top of the hutch.
