Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century antique Victorian 6 drawer spool cabinet. The cabinet appears to be in its original finish which has mellowed out over time to nice blonde oak color from natural oxidation and 100+ years of intermittent cleanings from previous owners. The cabinet retains its original embossed brass pulls that have only a couple of dents and are in much better shape than most we see. This is an early spool cabinet made towards the end of the Victorian period. We handle a good amount of early 20th century cabinets as well but the later you go the more the character starts to wane. Collectors tend to favor the earlier cabinets with extra accoutrements like this one with the incised carvings and corner columns. The cabinet measures 26" wide x 19 1/2" deep x 21 1/2 tall.

The drawers have useable dimensions of 21" wide x 15" deep x 2" tall with the top drawer being slightly shorter with 1 1/2" of useable height. We are a wholly owned family business in our third decade of continuous operation.

We do our best to give you an accurate condition report in our description of the items. We have expert woodworkers and re-finishers on staff to service any piece of furniture we offer.

We represent all merchandise in absolute good faith and to the very best of our ability. We perform this service without the cost of labor as an appreciation for your patronage. This and our "volume shippers" discount creates a substantial lower cost for you. They are not furniture movers who bring the items into your home.

We can get you special services in certain cases, but you are responsible for telling us you require them and for the extra cost of these services, if you instruct our shippers to provide services beyond curbside deliveries. We are responsible for any additional services and charged for these services. Again the process is all designed to protect your investment and is an option offered for your protection. We don't like to send nice people off with things tied to roof racks. We are not a storage facility. We are happy to hold your items for a reasonable pre-agreed upon period. We have a zero tolerance policy for non-paying buyers.
