Antique 9 Drawer Filing Cabinet Office Specialty Genuine Shannon System 1890

  
Antique filing cabinet made in the late 1800's by Office Specialty Mfg. It has on each arched filing hardware "Geniune Shannon" and Office Specialty Mfg. The hardware is made of bronze/brass which includes the handle, the arched filing, the outside label and inside corners. All of the 9 drawers have the original ad from this company and many have the additional alphabetical filing tabs. All of the screws are original with only one missing on an inside corner. There are two wood drawers that have minimal damage but does not affect the overall filing system. One of the drawers is stamped with 24893.

All of the drawers slide into the cabinet easily and no damage is found on the cabinet. The top has been stained - may have gotten wet or something spilled on it that was not caught in time. This is a beautiful piece of antique furniture that will only need to be polished and detailed. The top of the furniture will need to be restained. This furniture belonged to my great grandfather who owned a business in Canada.
