This beautiful Jacobean Depression Era oak China hutch is a classic example of the what became popular during the mid to late 1930s and early 1940s. It boasts a single glass, breakfront door, which can only be opened with a key (provided) and a single double-pull linen drawer.
Deceptively simple in design, its true beauty is in the delicate molding fitted around the solid portions of the front, the swirling trim along the base, the carefully and intricately etched brass ring pulls on the linen drawer, and the hand-shaped and turned spooled front legs and stretchers. Inside, there are two china shelves, each with grooves to hold plates and platters upright for display, with a slightly larger bottom shelf for other pieces. All four legs sport original casters for easy movement. This piece measures 65" tall, 43" wide, 16 deep.
It weighs approximately 125 lbs. While this piece is in beautiful condition, it is an antique and does show signs of age and use appropriate wear.
