Antique Hingher Furniture Co. Illuminated and Curved Curio Display Oak Cabinet
This Curio Display Oak Cabinet was manufactured by the Edward Hingher Furniture Co. Which was incorporated by father and son in 1916, and eventually became one of the leading furniture houses in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in the 1920s. This antique piece displays an elegant bowed structure, which is complemented by the sweeping lines of the thick oak exterior paneling scrolling accents and the Empire style flowing legs, in addition to the four interior custom fitted curved glass shelves. The top two shelves have inlaid high-quality mirrors, which really enable the added electric light fixture to create an eye-catching glow around the whole curio cabinet. The light is well-functioning, as are both the brass push-button locking mechanism and the attached wheels, which make this curio cabinet easy to move.
