Early 1800s maple corner cupboard. Rarely do you get a chance to own a treasure. A fabulous piece of American history.
For sale is an early 1800s maple corner cupboard. It's 12 lights are all original glass. The drawer is assembled with hand cut dove tails and the raised panels on the inside of the bottom doors are hand chamfered.
The top doors are full mortise construction adding evidence to its early manufacture. It's 77" tall and 40" wide.
The "toenail" carving around the door indicates it's most likely a Pennsylvania piece. Cupboards like this bring double at northern and New England auctions. I will meet you or deliver it within 50 miles.
