LARGE Old Antique Oak 6 Drawer MAP CABINET with Upper 2 Door Compartment

  

Presented for your consideration is this antique oak cabinet. Believed to be a map cabinet, it has 6 large drawers on the bottom with a 2 door recessed compartment on the top. At the front left and right sides there is a column design in the wood. Each of the drawers has 2 ornate cast iron handles and in the center is a small bracket to add a label to the drawer.

The drawers open and close, most are easy but a few are a little stiff to close. Three of the drawers do not go all the way in but feels like there is something in the back preventing them from closing all the way. The drawers are all open and measure 45 1/2" wide by 24 1/2" long. The top compartment has two large doors that easily open and close. Inside of this compartment are divided compartments; 2 large and 2 small.

This interesting cabinet could be used to hold a wide variety of items. As you can see we used it for lamp parts.

Could hold a large quantity of items. A nice piece to add to any oak furniture collection! Some general wear is present from age and use.

As previously mentioned there are three drawers that do not go in all the way but could be because something is stuck behind the drawers. Unsure of the condition of the back or sides. Please refer to the photos for the best details. Measures 53 5/8" wide, 28" deep and 61 tall.
