Antique Industrial Globe Wernicke 33 Drawer Office Filing Cabinet Jappaned
Amazing Cabinet bought from an estate recently. It is a GLOBE 33 drawer oak cabinet. I believe this to be from around 1930's. Amazing style and super functional at the same time. Just look at the amazing Jappaned / Copper flash hardware on this cabinet. It really sets this piece apart from other cabinets. This piece seems to have been professional refinished some years ago.
Still very smooth and nice. Instantly change a room with this piece.
What is so crazy is that it still has all the original drawer pulls. It breaks down into 4 different sections If you don't like how this is configured you can always stack the cabinets different Has a top cap that finishes the top off This way no matter section you put towards the top the cap will finish the piece off The top section would hold books, magazines, catalogs. The second section is card catalog drawers. The drawers are not open all the way to the front (see pictures) The Third section is a nice shelving section.
It has 3 movable shelves. Lastly the bottom are nice deep drawers for odds and ends The drawers are all wood faced, but metal drawers. The bottom drawers however are solid wood. As for something this old there is standard chipping and nicks.
