Antique Mahogany 9 Drawer Library Cabinet. Office Index Card Bureau 19th Century

  
This fabulous antique index card filing cabinet which has 9 drawers is unusual being made of mahogany and dates from the 19th century. This cabinet is beautifully made, in nice original condition with the drawers having dovetail joints which slide in and out well and has outer brass matching handles.

The cabinet would have been used in the 19th century as a filing cabinet and a filing card was found inside one of the drawers which shows a date of 1846. A wonderful quality antique piece with a nice deep patina which not only looks fantastic on display in the home but is a usable item that is ideal for use in a shop, hotel, cafe or prop. Dimensions: 47 cm (18 1/2) Width. 34 cm (13 1/2) Depth.

31.5 cm (12 1/2) Height. Internal dimensions of each drawer : 12.7 cm (5) Width.

30.4 cm (12) Depth. 8 cm (3 1/4) Height. Condition: In excellent usable antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age including scuffs, scratches, marks and chips leaving a wonderful patina. Does not have the metal card rods.
