Offering this 16th Century intricately hand carved chest, from the Badillo Collection, which has been in numerous exhibitions! Custom made for the Badillo family in the Batangas, dating back generations. Made of Filipino narra wood and a mixture of other hardwood, the strongest heaviest of its time, to create shadings in its ornate sculptured front. Designed with a secret drawer in the front to place special treasures. Condition: Expected wear for antiquity, minor crack along left lower quadrant of chest.
