Very clean wall cabinet, solid quarter-sawn oak, no veneer. This is a smaller size cabinet, so please see the measurements. May have held smoking pipes, or?? Cabinet appears to have been nicely restored, hardware appears to be original, however the hinge screws have been replaced.
Nice egg and dart molding. Door opens and closes correctly, beadboard back, mirror silver is excellent and may or may not have been replaced. There is a brass hanging bracket on the back of the cabinet top, and also a hole drilled for a screw, in the beadboard back to keep the cabinet from shifting on the wall when the door is open, as the door is quite heavy.
There is one wooden shelf at the center, and a glass shelf on bottom ledge, probably to keep stains off the ledge. There are no musty, rodent or medicine smells inside and no signs that the cabinet was ever painted or damaged.
Cabinet exterior measures 15" tall x 10 1/2" wide x 5 deep. The usable inside dimension is 11 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 2 1/2 deep. Please enlarge the photos as they are part of the description and check your measurements carefully as all sales are final. This is a refinished cabinet that does not pretend to be brand new and may have a minor scratch or two below the finish.Having said that - it is very good looking and sturdy cabinet.
