Antique Breton Miniature Buffet Au Deux Corps Cabinet, C1900

  
Charming and well made antique miniature Buffet au deux Corps cabinet made in the Breton region of France around 1900. It is made of wood with a double door cabinet below an open set of recessed shelves. The cabinet is covered with hand-carved classic symbols of Breton design, including pinwheels, ball and stick, stars and incised flowers.

Doors have latching mechanisms and are attached with brass hinges. The cabinet measures approximately 13.75 inches tall by 9.5 inches long and 5 inches deep. The shelves are recessed approximately 2.5 inches and are 1.5 inches deep. On the back is a brass plaque and hand written label.

Because they are old, they were used and will not look new or new-like. They likely show wear, fading, scratches, chips, cracks, past repair/restoration, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. Significant issues are shown in photos.
