Historic antique cypress cabinet from the original St Alphonsus church on Camp Street New Olreans. St Alphonsus historic church was started in 1852 to serve growing Irish and German population of NO.

Original wood church structure was replaced a few years later by the historic German baroque style we have today. Cabinet is made in virgin cypress construction with wood pegs and square nails throughout. Fixed tongue and groove shelving with original lock in door.

Original receipt of sale to Ellis Jaubert included. The parish closed decades ago and liquidated extraneous contents from the various Redemptorist church, schools and priests residence etc.

Plenty of signs of use over 175 years. Once in lifetime find really.
